Figure 15.4:
The F2 female homozygote should be w+w+ in the powerpoint.
Figure 21.3:
"Clone the fragments in plasmid or phage vectors." Most of the cloning in the Human Genome Project was probably done by PCR.
Figure 22.9:
"These different vegetables have all been selected from one species of wild mustard."
This porobably refers to wild cabbage, Brassica oleracea.
Figure 25.14:
This figure is misleading. The Permian extinction rate should be largest.
A snake is not a good representative of a "tetrapod" - 4 legs?
Figure 25.7:
The caption says this clock represents 4.5 billion years, actually the scale is to 5 billion years.
Figure 30.3:
This figure is missing some important parts: ovule, megasporocyte, pollen tube.
Figure 30.6:
This figure does not show microspores.
Figure 32.8c:
This suggests Planarians are acoelomates, but Figure 32.11
assigns them to Platyhelminthes, not Acela (the acoelomates). Chapter 33 also describes them as Platyhelminthes.
