Glomeromycetes     form     symbiotic
   endomycorrhizae  with plant roots: supplying minerals to the roots and
   obtaining carbohydrates in return.

   Specialized  hyphae  (arbuscules)  perform this exchange by pushing in
   the plasma membrane.
